I am backing this 100% I currently work in an NHS Hospital where there is supposed to be a no-smoking policy but staff and managers still smoke in the hospital and people (including management) do not do anything about it! I have complained to my manager on numerous occassions about smoking in our office and it is like talking to the brick wall! Smokers are not bothered about anyone else apart from themselves! The only option i have is to look for another job or end up dying early! It is okay to bring this law in but who is going to police it?

It is great news that the total smoke ban has got through. It will take time to bed in but they will be tremendous benefits like the reduction of cancer-breast,heart,lung; second hand smoke and the 110,000 smoke deaths a year.It is a victory for the NHS as well.

100% behind it. Everyone should be entitled to breathe clean air. ALL public places should be smoke-free not just restaurants.
